A: Lassen Pines Christian Conference Center in Viola, California near Redding
(the same place camp has been in the past)
Q: Who can apply to attend West Coast Honor Camp?
A: Sixth grade campers must be 10 years old & High School campers must be 13 years old by the first day of camp. First time campers who have been in the 5th - 8th Grade clubs less than 2 years must have completed 1 Handbook/Manual before the first day of camp. Those who have been in the 5th – 8th Grade clubs for 2 or more years must complete 2 or more Handbooks/Manuals (earned an Excellence Award) before the first day of camp. High School campers must have completed their current year’s Awana Journey 24/7 requirements including the required Bible reading, training conference, elective manual and Christian service. Returning campers must complete an additional handbook/manual each year.
Q: How much does camp cost?
A: 2012 rates TBA 2011 camp fees were as follows:
Junior High - $310 (earlybird $290)
High School - $320 (earlybird $300)
A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is due with the application
Q: What time do we arrive and check in at camp?
A: Check-in begins at 2PM on Sunday, and all campers MUST arrive no later than 4PM. Campers may not be picked up from camp until 8:30AM the following Saturday and must be picked up by 9:30AM.
Q: Can I send mail to my camper?
A: All campers enjoy receiving mail from home during camp! You may send snacks (please send in resealable containers—all snacks will be collected at
bedtime and stored in a protected area to prevent small critters form entering the cabins).
NO GUM please as gum is not allowed on the Lassen Pines property. Mail should be sent no later than Tuesday to ensure timely arrival.
